Our finance team have an opportunity for an **Accounts Officer** to join their team. This is a full-time position, based at our Pier Street office in Perth with flexible working opportunities available.
Reporting to our Accounts Payable Team Leader, the primary focus of this role is to process and maintain Bethanie’s accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, and related enquiries.
**About the role**:
- Timely processing of invoices, adjustment notes and petty cash
- Prompt and accurate payment of accounts, EFT and cheque payment runs
- Month end processing ensuring compliance within prescribed timeframes to support timely production of management and financial reports
- Provide customer service support to internal and external customers
- Timely generation of invoices and daily receipting
- Assist in end of year procedures
**About you**:
You are customer-centric, have excellent data entry skills and a great eye for detail. You have an established understanding of accounting concepts and procedures relevant to accounts receivable and payable. You will also bring:
- Previous experience in a similar role; working within a team as well as independently
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all Bethanie employees, and external customers
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
- Ability problem solving and analytical skills
- Previous experience with Oracle Financials _desirable?_
- Experience in the aged care or not-for-profit sectors also desirable but not essential
