**Job Purpose**:
The Production Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end production process for all Scanlan Theodore product. Working closely with the design team and workroom, the role will implement procedures to ensure the successful delivery of all key milestones across the critical path, achieving optimal margins while maintaining the integrity of the product, quality expectations and delivery schedules.
**Job Objectives**:
- Drive the production of all product categories from development through to bulk shipment
- Develop, manage and maintain critical paths with the workroom coordinator and suppliers to facilitate timelines for design, development, sampling, pre-production approvals and bulk shipments
- Together with the Production Director, ensure suppliers comply with business standards across social compliance, sustainability, and material compliance
- In collaboration with the workroom coordinator, implement effective Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) processes to maintain impeccable production quality across all products
- Work closely with the design room and workroom coordinator to manage production processes such as factory liaison, bulk fabric and trim approvals, pre-production fit, care label and packaging
- Provide leadership, and expert advice to production team members; trouble shooting and providing support to drive solution-based results in a fast-paced environment
- In collaboration with the Production Director, manage human resource needs, including workforce planning and end-to-end recruitment
- Complete regular reporting, design briefs and system audits (AP21); ensure processes are completed and accuracy of records
- Qualification in production management, operations management, or related discipline, and/or significant experience in a similar role, within the apparel or related industry
- Demonstrated ability to lead, guide and manage a team.
- Proven flexibility and adaptability, with the capacity to respond and adjust to change in work demands
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in the Microsoft suite of programs, and experience with software technology for production management
- Excellent knowledge and experience in garment construction, fabrics, fit and sample review
- Excellent understanding of critical path and timelines, strong organisation, and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and agile decision-making skills.
- Exceptional understanding of offshore production.
- Availability to work extended hours to meet deadlines, when required.
- National Police Check and the right to work in Australia
- Previous experience with AP21 is desirable
