National Marketing Manager

Our two co-founders John and Lucas met over a team lunch and while chowing down on their cafeteria sandwiches they bonded over their unapologetically nerdy love for education technology. After months of white-boarding and long days spent writing thousands of lines of code, Compass 1.0 came to life in 2009 in Lucas’ parents' garage.

Fast forward a decade - it’s no longer just John and Lucas eating sandwiches at the lunch table. Our school management ecosystem is now used in more than 2,000 schools across Australia and beyond. We’re joined by over 200 members of the Compass team, delivering smart school management solutions around the world.

**Job Purpose**:
Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, this is your opportunity to lead and innovate marketing at a fast-growing SaaS Edtech innovator. As leader, you will be responsible for developing and delivering marketing strategies through campaigns and projects which (A) Build top-of-funnel leads (B) Increase national brand awareness in new markets and C) Target upsell opportunities in the existing install base. Initiatives will include brand management, community engagement through conferences, events, webinars, media and social media engagement, new market awareness campaigns and customer testimonials.

**About the Role, you will:
- Develop and execute a marketing plan including digital & non-digital domains
- Manage & maintain the Zoho CRM platform
- Track & manage marketing data analytics (MQLs-SQLs)
- Partner with internal teams and external agencies/partners on campaigns, plans, and creative needs.
- Managing Compass’ presence at trade shows, conferences & events
- Careful coordination of multi-stakeholder projects to ensure clear communication

**Requirements**:
**About You**:

- You have a proven ability to manage and execute marketing strategies & campaigns
- Ability to analyse marketing results & make relevant changes
- You have a strong understanding of campaign planning and promotional activities
- You have a qualification in Marketing or a similar discipline
- You have extensive experience in Marketing and Communications (ideally a minimum of 3-5 years)
- You have experience in a management role (ideally a minimum of 2 years)
- SaaS experience is ideal, EdTech exposure would be a bonus
- You are strategic but scrappy
- You have a team focus with a can-do attitude
- You hold strong project management skills
- You have a strong ability to build relationships and a healthy culture
