Our mission is to constantly challenge the view of what is possible to force sustainable change.- We are currently looking for our new **Head of Development for the APAC region, based in our Melbourne office.**

**About the role**Your key responsibilities**
- Lead the overall development portfolio of renewable energy projects in the APAC region, ensuring alignment with client and company goals and objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and industry partners.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with project development, ensuring successful project delivery.
- Lead and mentor development professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Oversee project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and securing financial alignment with the Investor
- Provide regular updates to senior management and project board(s) on project status, challenges, and opportunities
- Participate in strategic planning initiatives, management team meetings/workshops, accountable for relevant actions for your team.
- Drive communication with senior management and all project groups and functions within and outside the company and participate in committees and key discussions.
- You will report to Partner and Senior Director Casper Nielsen, located in Denmark. As we operate globally, this position will require flexibility in regard to time zone, and global travel will be expected from time to time.**About you**
- Qualification in either engineering, business, or project management or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in renewable energy project development, with a proven track record of delivering projects at FID
- Strong in-depth knowledge of the renewable energy sector, including regulatory and market dynamics in Australia.
- Client-centric approach with the ability to successfully lead negotiations.
- Strong commercial acumen, familiar with outcomes, business cases and budgets.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a proven ability to manage staff lifecycle matters, leading by example, positively contributing to staff professional development.
- Ability to manage complex projects and the commercial and technical aspects interface.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including delegation, consultation, and facilitating teamwork.
- You will possess these skills coupled with;
- Balance of having the bigger picture whilst keeping focus on the details
- Ability to integrate within a cross-cultural global business, with presence in different time zones.
- Being strategic and analytic by nature
- Positive, engaging and motivating with a 'can do' attitude
