**About the role**:
The Event Coordinator provides support to venue teams in venue & event administration, event planning & delivery.

Reporting to the Event Planning Manager, the Event Coordinator will be responsible for supporting both Front of House and Back of House functions, and assisting with organisational projects to help drive operational, customer, and people improvements at events.

When required the Event Coordinator will work alongside the Event Delivery Leader performing supporting roles at events, with a particular focus delivering world-class customer excellence - every person, every event, every time.

Event Planning (FOH & BOH)
- Supports Event Management and Operations with the coordination of planning for multiple functions and events.
- Capacity to plan and deliver events up to 400 guests independently.
- Effectively manages the often-competing demands of clients and stakeholders whilst ensuring event documentation is completed within the desired timeframe.
- Assist the Event Executive Managers & Operations Managers/Leaders with the production of the event-related documentation and provide assistance as necessary in relation to the staging of events;
- Contributing to Australian Open planning and delivery.

Event Delivery
- Performs supporting Team Leader roles at events, including Client/Guest Services Leader. Depending on experience, training, and style of event, the Event Coordinator may perform the role of designated Team Leader for low-risk events.
- Displays M&OP’s Values in all interactions, and brings the Values to life at Events with the Event Delivery Workforce Communicates at events with team members,
- Ensuring standards, roles, and responsibilities are understood and delivered.
- Supports implementation of improvement projects and initiatives at events;

Strategic Organisational Projects
- Seeks to understand different customer requirements to tailor specific customer outcomes, including using customer data to drive continual improvement.
- Assist with problem-solving customer issues effectively and effectively to drive ongoing customer improvements.
- Identifying areas of improvement and efficiencies in the operational event planning process.
- Supports a proactive approach to Safety through event planning and delivery, with a focus on early hazard reporting and management.

**What you will bring to the role**:

- Technical expertise and knowledge in regard to specific function/s of event delivery and planning
- Event administration or coordination experience within a conference centre, large hospitality venue, hotel, mixed entertainment, arena, stadium, or similar environment.
- Event Delivery experience in Front of House or Back of House areas;
- Some practical experience supervising and coaching people (preferable), or overseeing an Event Delivery Workforce;
- Experience of establishing constructive and effective working relationships with multiple stakeholders;
- Strong administration skills, attention to detail and thorough planning and organisational skills;
- Ability to effectively handle and resolve customer (client and guest) requirements
- A strong understanding of customer needs and service delivery
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
