The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water’s CFO Division provides a range of essential advice and services enabling the department to deliver its strategic objectives. Our advice and services cover financial management, the budget process, procurement, travel, property & protective security and information technology.

**Who we are**
The Finance Division supports the department to be efficient, effective and financially sustainable through our business partnerships. The division provides financial and management advice and support to the department, the offices of the ministers and assistant ministers and to industry stakeholders. The division delivers on business objectives through the provision of high-quality customer service, advice and support and a consistent approach to business, with consideration to the government’s tight fiscal environment, its significant reform agenda and the department’s imperative to maintain financial sustainability.

The Property and Protective Security Branch is responsible for enhancing the department’s business capability through the effective management of the department’s property portfolio, property enabling functions, protective security, emergency management, as well as a range of corporate site services and commercial contracts nationally.

**The Job**
As a Property Officer you will be responsible for representing Property and Protective Security branch, supporting the delivery of a range of services and being the face of the branch for a state office.
In this role you will:

- assist with the management of upkeep of DCCEEW’s state offices in accordance with departmental policies and procedures and in collaboration with the property service provider
- assist with the management of national services provided for fleet management, stationery or mail and freight services
- manage administrative tasks for the branch including car park management, facilities administration activities within a state office including escorting contractors and/or trades
- provide administrative support to the protective security team to ensure adherence to the department’s security policies and procedures including assisting with the management of physical security operations in the state office
- provide support to local capital projects and accommodation audits
- act as the region's business continuity and emergency management coordinator
- assist with reviewing appropriate governance structures, SOP’s and process maps
- develop and maintain a range of internal and external stakeholder relationships
- provide support to the Assistant Director and Director, and undertake other additional local property and security related tasking as required.

**Knowledge and experience**
- manage the delivery of these services at a range of properties
- have the ability to develop, maintain and nurture a range of internal and external stakeholder relationships
- under broad direction, perform and achieve moderately complex work within an integrated workforce
- will provide policy advice in relation to fleet and facilities management.

**Skills and capabilities**
- Use of Microsoft office suite and databases.
- Ability to work independently, complete tasks and monitor workflow.

**Security Clearance**
- This position requires a
**Baseline Vetting** security clearance. You will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
