**Overview
This role is a new position within RSS Technology. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for the internal IT operations and business services capability, displaying a high level of expertise across infrastructure, software and technical solutions. You will provide leadership and coaching to the Business Services team as well as representing the team to key internal stakeholders.
**Key accountabilities and main responsibilities**
Strategic Focus
- Define and execute a Technology Business Services strategy and roadmap to agreed budget and timescales.
- Identify, screen, and evaluate new solution opportunities to generate maximum value for the clients and Link.
- Provide internal technology advisory to RSS business functions
- Act as a key stakeholder in Prog RSS by being the conduit back into Technology
Operational Management
- Operational management of the following Business Services functions:
- GESB
- SyncSoft
- Services & Transformation (PROGRSS)
- Financial Crimes Technology Support
- Technology Transformation/Modernisation
- Ensure technology business services are operating effectively and efficiently, and any significant issues are being dealt with and followed through appropriately.
- Develop and cultivate close working relationships with internal stakeholders. Regularly seek feedback and provide insights and actions to continuously innovate and improve our function.
- Drive innovation and change through influencing and managing a broad range of key internal stakeholders and by understanding key business impacts.
- Provide technology direction and support to all core business functions including HR, Finance, Procurement and Operations
Reporting
- Provide valuable insight and analysis on the performance of internal IT operations in all key areas so standards can be improved and streamlined.
- Provide incident management metrics and reporting to key stakeholders within agreed SLA’s.
People Leadership
- Strong leadership skills with an emphasis on building good teams, continuous improvement and transformation.
- Development of the team, including performance and succession planning to ensure a robust, skilled and collaborative team, driving appropriate retention.
- Embed Link Group purpose and values in people management and operating practices.
- Act on Link Listen staff feedback.
- Drive activities to support the Link Group diversity and inclusion objectives.
Governance & Risk
- Adhere to budget requirements, identifying opportunities for optimisation and financial savings.
- Ensure key performance indicators are measured, analysed, and accurately reported to stakeholders for incidents of all priorities.
- Take a lead on the management of risk, dependencies and issues associated with tech delivery.
- Manage audit requirements and any associated actions.
**Experience & Personal Attributes**
- A minimum of 5-10 years’ experience leading an internal IT function/operation.
- Tertiary qualifications in a related IT discipline.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with people at all levels of the organisation and build strong relationships and trust with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ideally experience in the Superannuation Industry or at a minimum the financial services industry.
- Highly effective communication, collaboration and influencing skills.
- Strong business acumen and experience in managing financials and budgets.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on coaching and developing teams.
- Able to communicate a compelling vision and purpose to broader team.
