Due to an internal progression, we present a unique opportunity for an adept, commercially savvy, and inspiring senior leader to spearhead our
**Employee Relations and Advisory** team. This role offers a remarkable chance to leave an indelible mark as you craft and lead the implementation of an integrated employee relations strategy and framework across two iconic retail brands.

Situated at Kmart's National Office in Mulgrave, this role reports directly to the Chief People & Capability Officer for Kmart and Target.

**What you’ll be doing**:
As
**Head of Employee Relations and Advisory**, your responsibilities will include:

- Leading the development and implementation of a contemporary Employee Relations and Advisory strategy and framework for Kmart and Target.
- Oversee the delivery of a comprehensive enterprise bargaining schedule in line with the corporate plan and strategy.
- Spearhead the continued refinement and expansion of the Advisory services model, ensuring the seamless delivery of end-to-end HR case management.
- Lead the management of employment and bargaining related litigation across Kmart and Target. This includes appearing on the behalf of our brands at the Fair Work Commission and in other tribunals (as required), effectively navigating legal landscapes.
- Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, including payroll and compliance and related activities.
- Development and continued renewal of ER related policies, documentation and processes for best practice and regulatory compliance.
- Engage and inspire a large team of high performing HR professionals, providing ongoing mentorship, guidance, and support for their growth and development.
- Leverage your expertise to influence and lobby external parties on workplace relations policy, contributing to the broader industry landscape.

**To be successful in this role you’ll have**:

- Demonstrable employee relations experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, preferably in the retail industry.
- Track record of successfully developing and delivering Employee Relations strategies and solutions that deliver optimal outcomes for team engagement and business return.
- Extensive enterprise bargaining experience, with capability to negotiate with multiple unions across a geographically dispersed work environment.
- An engaging, passionate and ‘no ego’ leadership style with deft collaboration, communication, influencing and stakeholder management capability.
- Extensive experience in leading, engaging and developing high performing teams.
- Sound negotiator, with strong advocacy skills to deliver successful and cost-effective management of disputes/litigation.
- Proven experience developing ER related communication, processes and documentation (e.g. policies, procedures, contracts, internal and external communications)
- Skilled in workplace relations lobbying and management of third-party representatives
- Tertiary qualifications in Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Law (preferably MBA qualified)
