**About this Opportunity**:
We’re looking for an approachable Elite Athlete Program Officer, to join our professional and passionate team This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to develop their career supporting Student Athletes.

Reporting to the Elite Athlete Program Advisor, you will be responsible for fostering a culture that support the UQ Student Athletes effectively integrate studies with training and competition demands to support their academic and sporting ambitions. You will be a superstar at building meaningful and collaborative relationships with student athletes, coaches, UQ Academic staff, parents and sporting organisations. You’ll promote the student athlete journey and support services across UQ and key sporting organisations.

***In this role you will**:

- Provide expert advice and guidance to student athletes
- Assist in the team with elite athlete program & sporting scholarships program
- Review elite athlete status requests in line with policy guidelines
- Promote and market elite athlete program and associated services

**To be successful in the role you will have**:

- Tertiary qualifications in sports admin/management/education/psychology or related
- Prior experience in a similar position with demonstrated knowledge of university sport and funding programs and elite athlete education network guiding principles.
- First aid and CPR Certification
- Mental Health First Aid Certification
