Key Responsibilities
Production Operations & Leadership
- Supervise daily activity across CNC, welding, powder coating, electronics integration, and final assembly.
- Manage job scheduling, resourcing, and production priorities using job card and planning systems.
- Coordinate across engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Track and report on KPIs such as output, OTD, rework rates, and resource efficiency.
- Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and performance reviews.
Engineering & Process Improvement
- Improve production efficiency through data-driven changes to process, layout, tooling, and methods.
- Troubleshoot technical issues in fabrication or system integration and implement long-term fixes.
- Work closely with design teams to review drawings and ensure manufacturability (DFM).
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality documentation.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI), prototyping, and rapid iteration cycles.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Uphold a zero-harm, safety-first environment across all workstations.
- Ensure compliance with WHS, quality standards, and environmental regulations.
- Build quality control steps into production workflows and participate in root cause analysis (RCA).
QUALIFICATIONS
**Required**:
- 5+ years in a manufacturing or job-shop environment with both production and engineering responsibilities.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage workflows in a high-mix, low-volume setting.
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, fabrication, and assembly.
- Proficient with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
**Preferred**:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience with CNC, CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks), and system-level assembly (e.g. electro-mechanical).
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP/job card systems and digital production tools.
Pay: Up to $115,000.00 per year
