Manufacturing Production Manager

To support our continued growth, we are looking for a **Manufacturing Production Manager** to lead our team in Sydney.

This is a Full-time salaried position working factory hours Monday - Friday 6am -2.30pm with occasional overtime an expectation.

Based in Seven Hills, this is a hands-on, highly autonomous role reporting to the interstate Directors. You will be the most senior staff member on site, leading a team of 10, troubleshooting day to day issues, ensuring operational targets are met whilst maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. You will be responsible for all functions of operations and production including; scheduling, productivity, quality, inventory, purchasing, safety, resource management and maintenance.

Your role is essential in developing a culture of continuous improvement while coaching, developing and guiding staff to ensuring best practice in terms of process and staff management.

The Tasks:
Drive and manage production scheduling and capacity planning, to ensure delivery on time to dispatch.
Ensure consistent high standards of product quality.
Manage efficiency - ensure staffing levels, resources and tools are maintained to meet production targets.
Ensure established processes are sustained to meet compliance and quality targets.
Improve operational performance by identifying and implementing sustainable continuous improvement.
Provide Technical assistance and support to production staff.
Report to the Management Team about production matters, conduct investigations and looks for ways to address any findings.
Role model and drive a culture of safety in accordance with policies and procedures, ensuring all quality systems are complied with.
Be the designated Safety Officer - driving incident investigations, risk assessments, toolbox talks and fostering a safety culture.
Lead cultural change by fostering a proactive working culture and develop strong working relationships with all stakeholders by ensuring effective communication is maintained.

You are a Production Manager/ Supervisor with proven experience within a busy manufacturing / production environment - Ideally in a furniture or related industry.

You must have:
Experience with ERP functional use in manufacturing.
Proven skill in production and capacity planning as well as stock management and inventory control.
Experience in driving safety, quality and productivity through effective leadership.
Excellent organisational and time management skills and the ability to proactively solve problems quickly and efficiently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to measure and drive KPI’s.
A history of developing teams - influencing, coaching and leading by example, to build strong working relationships.
Proficiency in MS Office.
A positive can-do attitude and attention to detail.

Also an advantage: Experience in cultural change; familiarity with Lean manufacturing and Continuous improvement concepts, and an understanding of best practice workflow planning.

A competitive remuneration package of $90k + will be offered to the successful applicant based on experience and qualifications.

**Salary**: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
