**The Role**
Our client is seeking a Principal Security Advisor for their Threat Management team. You will be responsible for delivering key operational areas and projects, providing technical expertise, and serving as a thought-leader for cybersecurity throughout the organization.
Some Key responsibilities will include:
- Security Threat and Incident Monitoring, Detection, and Alerting: Responsible for monitoring, detecting, and alerting systems to identify security threats and incidents from internal and external sources.
- Incident Response: Responsible for responding to security incidents (or suspected incidents) by taking immediate action, engaging with other teams/partners as necessary, performing post-incident reviews, and recommending preventive actions/controls.
- Technical Investigations: Responsible for providing investigative support and expertise for Monitoring, Detection & Alerting activities and Incident Response actions.
- Hunting Activities: Responsible for maintaining and developing an effective hunting framework that delivers quality outcomes, reports, and assurance regarding hunting activities.
- Threat Intelligence: Responsible for developing and maintaining a fit-for-purpose Threat Intelligence capability, including tooling, information, and usage guidelines, to enable timely detection and identification of threats and incidents.
- Automation & Orchestration: Responsible for developing and maintaining a fit-for-purpose Automation & Orchestration capability to facilitate faster, more precise, and repeatable cyber security activities.
- Technical Skills Development and Knowledge Sharing: Responsible for providing technical skills development, knowledge sharing, guidance, training, and advice to other Security personnel within the organization and the Threat Management team.
**About You**:
- A minimum of 8 years of hands-on technical IT Security experience is desirable.
- Experience leading incident response, running high-performance detection/alerting systems, and performing technical investigations along with experience with technical hunting activities extremely desirable.
- Some experience across detection and alerting, incident response, technical investigations, hunting, threat intelligence, automation and other related tools and technologies.
