A vacancy currently exists in our, Governance and Compliance team for a Principal Advisor. We have office locations throughout Queensland.You'll be part of a dynamic and diverse culture, working alongside supportive and passionate people.
We seek to improve work health and safety, electrical safety and workers' compensation performance through regulatory and policy frameworks and the provision of evidenced-based services and advice. We also develop, implement and maintain policy and legislation relevant to industrial relations in Queensland.
As a Principal Advisor within Governance and Compliance, you will be part of an efficient flexible and responsive team that strives for to keep all Queenslanders safe around electricity.
**Some of your responsibilities will include**:
- Lead and coordinate team members through the monitoring of workload and provision of advice
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of ESO organisational risk management initiatives
- Manage and report on ESO customer complaints and contribute to the continual improvement of customer complaint management processes
- Prepare high level written and verbal advice to the management on processes, and operations in the form of reports, ministerial briefs and other correspondence, including timely responses to critical and sensitive issues
- Actively utilise strategic thinking to lead the development, implementation, maintenance, evaluation, and management of systems, tools
To be successful in this role you, we'll consider how well you:

- Confidently present messages in a clear concise and articulate manner and tailors communication style and message to suit the audience. Approaches negotiations with a strong grasp of the issues and strives to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes.
This role will challenge and develop your ability to lead governance and compliance activities and initiatives, influence others, and work across boundaries to build strong networks to deliver clear, future-focused outcomes in a dynamic environment
