The Strategic Workforce Management Team within Defence’s Chief Information Officer Group (CIOG) are looking for enthusiastic people to join them in designing, implementing and managing workforce initiatives for the Defence ICT workforce. An exciting opportunity exists for you to join our team to work on a range of activities which will enable the CIOG workforce to meet the growing needs of Defence.

Areas that you will work on include:

- Attraction and Retention
- Career & Talent Management
- Professionalisation
- Entry Level Programs
- Workforce Strategy and Plan Development

The role will require strong stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills to support engagement with all areas of CIOG to ensure the needs of the Group are represented in workforce strategies, plans and activities.

In addition, this role will require strong positive working relationships within the team to ensure that all work supports, and is aligned to, workforce forecasting targets and strategic goals of the team.

**About our Team**
The CIOG Strategic Workforce Management team is growing and transforming in order to deliver successful workforce capability outcomes for the group.

Our ultimate aim is to achieve a workforce of the ‘right skills, right time, right place’ to support the delivery of ICT capabilities for Defence. This means we need to foster a modern, agile, integrated workforce of civilian, military and contracted employees that has the capability and capacity to meet Defence outcomes.

The team has a base at ANZAC Park West in Canberra, ACT and also has staff working remotely interstate. We are supportive of achieving a balance between work and life, with flexible working arrangements and opportunities for part-time, remote and home-based work able to be negotiated.
