**About the role**

This role sits within the Strategic Priorities Unit (SPU). We support the Schools Policy and Evidence (SP&E) Directorate in delivering its work program through the provision of communications, media services, production of publications, correspondence, project coordination, policy advice, administrative, HR and finance services and support.

SP&E is made up of over 200 staff across our Schools Policy and Data Reform teams as well as our Centre for Education Statistics and Evaluation (CESE) teams, Skills Pathways and Insights; Evaluation and Evidence; Strategic Analysis and Research; and Education Statistics and Measurement.

You will liaise with the SP&E Directors and their teams on a daily basis, as well as various teams across the Department.

**Essential requirements of the role**
- Valid Working with Children Check for paid employment.

**Key knowledge and experience**
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
