Australian Bar & Beverage Group is excited to announce we are searching for a Venue Manager to help launch our new concept cocktail bar in St Kilda. We are currently undertaking a big renovation and ready to open soon. About the Venue A historical Melbourne location and a multi-faceted venue that can cater for many different experiences, over two floors. Think events, cocktails, functions & a "Billion Dollar View". The Job Reporting to the owner and operations team at head office, you will ensure the smooth operation of the day-to-day activities whilst also leading, managing and mentoring staff. This is not a hands-off role - you will be required to lead by example and set the standards. You will be exposed to all facets of the business and will have the opportunity to grow and secure a long-term career prospect. The venue is already off to a flying start; however we are looking at how best to utilise downstairs, how to maximise our quieter times, how to increase revenue and increase efficiencies. About You You will be a positive, proactive individual with good communication skills. You will be a team player with a strong focus on providing great experience to our customers. You will have at least 3 years of venue management experience. You enjoy a fast-paced food and beverage environment and maintain a professional attitude at all times whilst having fun and being part of a great team. Roles & Responsibilities - Rostering & staff management - Setting, implementing and reviewing service standards - Provide advice and support with policies and procedures - Develop drink menu and liaise with the chef / caterers for food options - Responsible for stock movements - Controlling costs and wages through effective staff rostering - Coaching & developing the team to deliver consistently exceptional service - Monitoring cost through stock control, costing of menu items and stock-takes - Driving revenue and maintaining budgets - Assist with sales enquiries and site inspections - Be a Brand Ambassador by demonstrating genuine passion for the business Perks - Competitive KPI Scheme - Creativity & Freedom - Staff Meals - Career Progression Within a Fast-Growing Hospitality Group - Flexible Working Hours & Leave Opportunities - Incentive Trips - Be part of the setup team of a new concept **Requirements**: - A high level of customer service ability - Proven organisational skills with high attention to detail - Ability to prioritise tasks and work well in an upbeat environment - Excellent verbal communications - Previous managerial experience in an events venue - Across all venue financials - managing P&L, wages and cost of goods **Salary**: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year Schedule: - 8 hour shift Ability to commute/relocate: - St Kilda, VIC 3182: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required) Work Authorisation: - Australia (preferred)
