**The Role**
An opportunity to join the Deputy Secretary Security and Estate's office in a pivotal and trusted role is now available. The Chief of Staff is responsible of maintaining situational awareness of issues and risks arising in the Group, providing high quality support and advice to the Deputy Secretary on all strategic Issues coming through the office, and to ensure integration across the Security and Estate Group (SEG), Defence and Government. The Chief of Staff also leads a small team providing administrative and communications support to the Deputy Secretary.
This position requires and ability to thrive in a demanding and high-pressure environment and to manage a range of priorities to deliver successful outcomes. You will assist in the management of sensitive organisational, policy and administrative issues which will require to exercise a high degree of discretion and professionalism. You will engage and work closely with a large and diverse range of stakeholders at all levels.
