**The Role**
The Business Management (BM) function within Joint Logistics Unit (West) holds significant responsibility for both the strategic outputs as well as the day to day operations within the unit. This role provides direct management and coordination across all administrative based functions including unit finance, Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S), security, facilities, unit resourcing and auditing, Workforce recruitment support, personnel administration (ADF, ADF reserve contingent and APS) as well as integral support to the Commanding Officer and broader executive.
The Business Manager will lead a team, set work priorities, manage workflow and resources. They will build team capacity through coaching and feedback and will review and develop the quality of work undertaken by others within a work unit. They will exercise the associated people and financial responsibilities to achieve work outcomes.

Joint Logistics Unit (West) provides a range of logistics support to all Australian Defence Units located in Western Australia. - Experience working in a similar role ensuring the alignment of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks;
- Experience in enterprise resource planning and core business processes in an integrated system;
- Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines;
- Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills, especially in preparing responses to correspondence, briefs and reports for management;
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain effective relationships with team members and key stakeholders to achieve desired results;
- A strong commitment to the provision of innovative and workable solutions in the promotion of logistics best practice;
- You will have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a bigger team.
