**The Role**

They provide detailed logistics compliance and assurance, technical and professional advice, contributing to strategic planning and policy development. The APS 6 may lead a team, setting work priorities and managing workflows, and must engage with stakeholders on complex issues, anticipating and responding to their needs.

The Logistics Assurance officer is expected to build team capability through coaching, feedback, and developing the quality of work undertaken by others. This role is accountable for achieving the outcomes of their work, contributing to Defence's mission and policy requirements, and managing people and financial responsibilities.

**About our Team**
The Destroyer System Program Office (DDGSPO) has been established to sustain the Air Warfare Destroyers (AWD). The DDGSPO is an integrated workforce consisting of ADF, APS and industry personnel based at Garden Island in Sydney.

Given the integrated nature of the workforce, positive relationships, collaborative behaviours, and an agile and flexible approach will be fundamental to the success of the DDGSPO. The DDGSPO is a dynamic and challenging work environment supporting the Royal Australian Navy's newest and most capable Hobart Class warships

They need to display an ability to learn rapidly and adapt quickly to changing complex situations and uncertainty. They need to take ownership of outcomes and lead tasks to success. They will be required to learn working knowledge of the Naval Logistic Information Systems, centred on the Configuration Management Tool, the Asset Management Planning System, and the Military Integrated Logistic Information System.

To succeed in this role, they must have in-depth knowledge of logistics compliance and assurance and stakeholder engagement skills. They must be able to interpret policy, provide detailed advice, and contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
