**The opportunity**
Our team currently has a Fixed Term opportunity for a Senior Communications and Engagement Officer available within the Regional and Outer Metropolitan branch. This role is responsible for the delivery of the full range of internal and external strategic communication and stakeholder engagement services within the Strategic and Statewide Engagement Team of Regional and Outer Metropolitan Division. The role would be involved with implementation of individual programs of communications initiatives which assist in positively positioning Transport for NSW, which drive awareness of regional transport programs and initiatives that promote a safer and more resilient transport network.
The role will also provide specialist advice and services across community engagement, communications and engagement strategies, media management, customer information and issues management.
- **Though our work location is flexible - you can be based in Sydney or regionally for this role - it is a pre-requisite that applicants possess a current motor vehicle driver’s license. The successful applicant may be required to work outside normal working hours and/or travel regionally within NSW on occasion. Hybrid work is available at TfNSW, applicants are advised the role would be required to have access to a TfNSW office (in Regional and Outer Metropolitan NSW or Greater Sydney) and would be required to travel to Sydney on occasion.**_
**About you**
Proven experience managing multiple external and internal stakeholders combined with sound experience in managing project communications. You have demonstrated experience providing communications either regionally or state-wide with a strategic lens, ensuring that customer outcomes are always central in delivery.
You are a motivated individual, able to build and maintain relationships and partnerships easily. You have sound influential capabilities, and you thrive on navigating multiple, oftentimes conflicting, deadlines and priorities. You maintain a high standard of work; love a challenge and you are a forward-thinker who thrives in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
You should have strong content writing experience across a range of communication channels and excellent communication skills. Experience with volume campaigns and working with media agencies and understanding of social media is highly desirable. Exposure to managing traditional media channels, pitching stories, working closely with program managers and managing creation of video content and online promotion of the same, would set you up for success.
Having previously worked in a similar environment where you have made complex judgments on strategies to maximise preparedness for future requirements, you understand each decision made can affect the outcomes of customer service, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
