**The Role**
The Honours and Awards Manager will plan and conduct the Special Operations Command awards. This will include the management of the Honours and Awards Board of Half-Yearly Honours as well as the Special Operations Command Commendation Board, Special Operations Commander Australia Gold, Silver and Bronze Commendations and the Jonathan Church Good Soldiering Award.

The Special Operations Command Headquarters Honours and Awards APS 5 will provide advice and supporting policy and procedure implementation of honours and awards across the Special Operations Command Headquarters, the Special Force Group Headquarters and the Regiments. The Honours and Awards Manager will develop, implement and manage the timeline for Special Operations Command boards, in alignment with Army Headquarters key tasks by date guidance.

The Honours and Awards Manager will develop and implement an end-to-end process for Special Operations Command, aligned to Army Headquarters requirements and Defence Honours and Awards Manual.

**About our Team**
The APS5 Honours and Awards Manager will work in the Administrative and Coordination Cell of Special Operations Command Headquarters. The Administrative and Coordination Cell is responsible to the Chief of Staff for the management of the headquarters administration, including the synchronisation of headquarters functions, maintenance of the battle rhythm and provision of effective staff support.
- Knowledge or the ability to acquire knowledge of Army and Defence Honours and Awards management processes.
- Contribute to Honours and Awards planning and policy development for Special Operations Command.
- Build and sustain effective relationships with team members and actively participate in team work and group activities.
