**About the company**

**Summary of position**:
Full time, 80 hours per fortnight. Typical shift 8:30am-5pm, these times are flexible. Working from the Cornick head office in Mulgrave NSW.

Content Designers are a key pillar in the Cornick Web, Content and Marketing (WCM) Team. The successful applicant will report to the head of the division and is responsible for providing original creative content. You must work well within a small team, cooperating with others in the company to make a positive contribution to the business, our clients and staff.

Tasks this roll may include but are not limited to:

- Creation of printed catalogues, business cards, specials and brochures
- Updating website content including product listings and descriptions
- Short and long form video content creation
- Posts to social media including copy, photos and videos
- Graphic design Product box and sticker artwork
- Creation of signage for buildings, demo boards and point-of-sale articles
- Working with our customers to create content for their website / stores / socials.
- Attend meetings with staff and clients
- Research competitors in store and online to ensure best in class presentation and highlight our differentiating value propositions
- Support Sales by providing product information, images and collaterals as required

**Preferred Skills and Experience**:

- Qualification in Visual Communications, Graphic Design or another relevant field
- Understanding of audience targeting and value proposition creation
- Evidence of exceptional creativity and attention to detail
- Experience and demonstrable success in a similar role
- Understanding of good design principles
- Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere Pro
- Knowledge of print production processes
- Knowledge and understanding on social media best practice
- Basic understanding of web design/HTML and CSS
- Business Acumen - You understand how business works and use good judgement when making decisions
- Computer Proficiency - All aspects of this job are heavily reliant on the use of Windows-based PCs and associated apps. Knowledge of other operating systems is good to have.
- Focused - You can push aside day-to-day distractions and get required work done
- Industry Aware - An awareness and understanding of current and relevant design trends
- People Skills - You’re comfortable talking to new people in person, on the phone or on social media and present a knowledgeable and easy to understand tone to staff and clients.

- Self-starter - You begin tasks on your own initiative, without needing to be told or encouraged to do so.
- Team player - Experience working well with others, successful participation in a team (e.g., previous work experiences, team sport etc.) strong interpersonal skills.
- Outcome oriented - You always keep the end goal in site and don’t get caught up spending too much time on something that may ultimately not give a result

**Compensation**:
$42.50 per hour ($38.46 per hour standard wage + $4.04 superannuation) + Overtime if requested / required.

**Paths for career progression**:
After demonstrating success in this position, a management role in the WCM team or elsewhere in the company is one option as roles become available. Alternate pathways could be transitioning to other roles within the business, such as sales, customer service, operations or warehousing.
