We have a full-time permanent opportunity for a Procurement Coordinator to join a highly experienced team based out of our Southbank office in Melbourne.

**The opportunity**
- Become the purchasing policy SME and escalation point
- Provide advice and solutions to our Purchasing Officer’s and operational Site Manager’s
- Manage the online requisition register and assign tasks to the purchasing team
- Become the purchasing team 2IC
- Report and track non-compliance

**About the role**
- You will be the conduit between the purchasing/procurement team and site management as they call on you to solve purchasing issues. This will include actively promoting the use of best practice to ensure compliance with policy and adherence to site requirements.
- The role will see you establish meetings with internal stakeholders with the aim of providing solutions and developing plans to ensure continuity and uninterrupted service delivery. You will also oversee and improve the efficiency of the purchasing team, track non-compliance and leverage on our buying power.

**Key responsibilities**
- Actively promote the use of best practice to ensure compliance with policy and procedures
- Provide advice, support and solutions to site managers, the purchasing/procurement team and suppliers
- Reporting and analysis
- Conduct RFx, bid reviews and analysis
- Create and issue purchase orders using SAP

**About you**
- Substantial experience in a similar role with a large complex organisation
- Problem solving is the key so we expect that a large part of your role will involve providing advice and solutions to ensure compliance
- Demonstrated experience resolving conflicts
- Strong communication skills
