About Us:
The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) delivers a justice and community safety system that works to build a safer, fairer, and stronger Victoria.
The Finance and Procurement business unit provides department-wide financial, procurement and workplace services through strategic leadership and setting the direction, policy, and processes, and partnering with the department to build capability.
Procurement and Property Services monitors and reports on procurement performance and manages several high-profile strategic projects to minimise procurement risk and support the delivery of value for money. It is also responsible for the effective operation and management of asset maintenance, fleet and property, and facilities management services across the department.
About the Role:
The role of a Senior Procurement Officer:
- Supports the Procurement Services strategic planning and advisory processes, supporting the development and delivery of key projects and initiatives within the functions.
- Provides specialist advice and guidance to ensure consistency and compliance across procurement teams, acting as a central coordination point to support communication, alignment and knowledge-sharing.
- Provides a level of administrative oversight across the Procurement Services functions, coordinating activities that require the Director, Procurement Services' involvement.
- Supports the Director, Procurement Services to deliver on key business priorities.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
- Legislative, regulation and policy context experience and awareness.
- Experience in strategy planning, development and implementation.
- Continuous improvement and compliance experience.
