**The Opportunity**

The Marketing team takes a strategic and data-driven approach to marketing and is responsible for the development and delivery of all marketing campaigns, brand, customer/broker/adviser engagement activity, data analysis, insights and digital performance. The Insights Manager will take a lead role in managing and executing analytics work, from strategic ideation through to insights generation, targeted campaign build and performance.

**How you will make an impact**

Play a lead role in the development and execution of AMP’s customer analytics strategy:

- Shape the thinking around how analytics can help the business to create client value, improve client engagement and business value/efficiency.
- Design and execute analytics work packages with a clear focus on the business’ commercial objectives, improved client outcomes and cost/workforce efficiency.
- Work with marketing and campaign execution teams at all stages of the planning and development of marketing campaigns and event-based triggers to ensure that campaigns are robust and measurable. This will include AB test strategies & control group design.

Manage the relationship with several key business stakeholders:

- Take ownership of large one-off programs and ad hoc requests, and challenge and drive stakeholder thinking around best practice analytics techniques and solutions.
- Drive and influence thinking about how we become a more customer-focused organisation, using data and insights to identify opportunities and drive decision-making.

Use advanced analytics and visualisation techniques to drive actionable insights:

- Query campaign data stores, AMP’s customer analytics database (Redshift) and other data sources to build assets that provide the single version of the truth on campaign performance.
- Design and action “deep dive” analytics projects investigating the performance of key campaigns and delivering compelling and actionable recommendations to improve campaign performance.

**What you will bring to the role**

Essential:

- This is a doing role, so you’ll thrive in a data-rich environment, and possess extensive experience using relational databases and analytic tools, including SQL to conduct customer & campaign analysis.
- Experience delivering analytics in a commercial environment, with demonstrable experience of having understood business problems and translated these into actionable insights linked to commercial outcomes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to translate complex data/concepts into clear and actionable recommendations from analytics aligned to AMP’s strategic goals.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills and a collaborative style.
- Experience in data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI.
- A strong team player, willing to work outside of your direct mandate at times to support broader team goals.

Highly desirable:

- Financial services experience especially within Advice, Superannuation (Retirement) and/or Banking.
- Hands-on experience of advanced analytics techniques, e.g. Python, R or equivalent.
