The VIC/TAS/SA State Operations Manager is accountable for Viva Energy’s Supply Chain Operations in Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia.

Viva Energy’s liquid fuel storage and distribution operations are located at:

Reporting to the Head of Operations and based at our Victorian Terminal in Newport, you will lead a sizeable and diverse operational workforce across Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia to ensure safe, compliant and efficient liquid fuel storage and distribution operations.You will also oversee the management of our joint-venture operations in Hobart and South Australia.

A Champion of Safety, you will cultivate and foster a culture of learning and take ownership for improving outcomes in health & wellbeing, personal safety, process safety, securing and environmental management.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure regulatory “license to operate” obligations are fulfilled, manage operational hazards and risk, and ensure the integrity of the HSSE management system and processes.
- Liaise and communicate as necessary with regulators, government authorities, emergency services and the local community regarding ongoing operational activities.
- Provide leadership to improvement initiatives, targeting operational excellence, asset utilisation, organisational structure, facility cost rates and/or customer service.
- Support site asset management strategies, developing, championing and supporting implementation of longer-term infrastructure improvement.
- Identify, nurture and develop talent within the team, committing to diversity and long-term capability.

**Qualifications**:

- You are a proven leader of teams within a Supply Chain / operational environment, with a passion for supporting the development of people.
- Ideally experienced with tank storage and pipeline processes (e.g., water or liquid movements, manufacturing and processing).
- Ideally experienced working in conjunction with Regulatory Authorities (e.g., WorkSafe, EPA etc.)
- Ideally experienced within a Major Hazard Facility (fuel, gas, energy or manufacturing (for flammable materials).
- Are able to drive improvement initiatives through effective project management.
- Able to travel as this role will require some travel / site visits to operational facilities.
