**The Opportunity**
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Linehaul professional to lead our VIC and SA operations. As State Manager - Linehaul, you will be accountable for service delivery, safety, compliance, and financial performance across both states, driving operational excellence and delivering long-term growth. Reporting to the General Manager of Linehaul, you’ll lead a high-performing team while engaging with clients, internal stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. You will bring an agile, commercially focused approach and a passion for continuous improvement to influence operational strategy and deliver measurable results.
Further to the above other key activities will be:
- Lead the operational and financial performance of SA & Vic, ensuring profitability and accountability for P&L outcomes
- Engage and support staff daily on safety practices, fostering a culture of care and promoting Safety Improvement Plans
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with wider departments, senior management, clients and customers
- Enhance and implement supply chain practices to ensure compliance with regulations and environmental best practices
- Lead all facets of safety, service delivery and cost control within the Linehaul company fleet business
- Ensure strict compliance with SA/Victorian regulations, including NHVR, CoR, WHS laws, and internal policies
- Support tender negotiations and contribute to business development efforts for prospective new customers
**What You Will Bring**:
- Extensive experience in a senior management role within the Supply Chain industry
- A proven track record in managing and optimizing complex transport operations and supply chain networks
- P&L management skills, with a solid financial and analytical acumen
- Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing, and business partnering abilities
- A strategic decision-making mindset, with the ability to make timely and effective business decisions while identifying opportunities for improvement
- A continuous improvement approach, with strong problem-solving skills and a solutions-oriented mindset
