**About the role**

The Business Risk team are seeking an Investigative Officer to provide a range of support working under various policies and legislation that BRD have responsibility for. An outline of the team’s key functions include:

- Providing advice, guidance and reporting in relation to Risk, Internal Compliance, Business Continuity Management (BCM) across Better Regulation Division
- Undertaking both operational and strategic actions in relation BCM across BRD
- Undertaking probity & background checking
- Coordinating risk management and internal compliance projects to ensure business operations meet organisational and legislative requirements

**To be successful in this role, you will be required to**:

- Have a minimum of 2 years experience in investigations or personnel background checking.
- Knowledge on how to find and discern relevance of information found when undertaking a probity inquiry or other type of investigation will be an advantage.
- Be able to undertake an analysis of a broad range of information and formulate accurate briefings.
- Coordinate the processes and conduct probity and background inquiries.
- Manage the dissemination and receipt of internal and external communications.
- Monitor and manage key integrity risks and records including probity and conflict of interest registers.
- Be able to give accurate and objective advice in relation to matters relating to integrity and probity.
