**About the role**
What we are looking for:
Community Care is seeking a self-motivated individual to enhance social connection in older people by developing and implement programs, sharing information and supporting Seniors clubs and groups.
The main responsibilities of this position include:
- Community Engagement & Research: Conduct ongoing research and consult with community stakeholders to identify and support socially isolated older adults.
- Collaboration & Program Development: Work with Council departments and Community Care staff to develop and recommend programs that enhance social engagement.
- Information Management & Communication: Maintain accessible databases, manage social media, contribute to newsletters, and respond to public inquiries.
- Support for Seniors Groups: Provide regular support, facilitate collaboration and assist with funding and governance for Seniors Clubs and Groups.
- Activity Planning & Delivery: Identify, prioritise and organise events and programs such as day trips and the Seniors Festival.
- Strategy Implementation: Support projects aligned with the Positive Ageing Strategy goals.
**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the following:
You may be required to undertake practical testing, work preference profiling / psychometric testing, functional capacity assessment (physical) or aptitude testing.
