**About the organisation**
The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing leads policies and services dedicated to community wellbeing by empowering communities to build a fairer and safer Victoria, working to create equal opportunities for all Victorians to live safe, respected and valued lives. Within the Department, Homes Victoria works across government, industry and the social housing and homelessness service sectors to provide stable and secure homes with the overarching purpose of “More Homes for More Victorians”. As the primary government agency managing Victoria’s expanded social and affordable housing system, their mission is built around the ethos that having a safe home is the foundation for a person’s health and wellbeing. Programs include delivery of an ambitious pipeline of over 17,000 social and affordable homes over four years, including the $5.3 billion Big Housing Build, and other significant government programs such as the Ground Lease Model, the Public Housing Renewal Program, establishment of the Affordable Housing Rental Scheme, implementation of Housing First responses, and multiple public private partnerships.

**About the role**
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) delivers on the Government’s vision of social and affordable housing, wrap around housing support services and homelessness support in Victoria. Reporting to both the Minister for Housing and the Secretary, Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, the CEO leads the delivery of a $5.3 billion portfolio of housing growth and redevelopment projects, manages $35 billion in housing assets, and guides housing and homelessness policy, reform and delivery, together with a suite of organisational transformation programs. As a Deputy Secretary and member of the Department’s Executive Board, the CEO enables the stability of Homes Victoria as a non-public financial corporation while realising opportunities for service integration, innovation and reform to support Government commitments. Forging strong partnerships across the Department, government and externally across sectors and jurisdictions, the CEO is accountable for the organisation’s governance, culture, structure, processes, and financial targets.

Inspired by impact with scale, you are a highly respected senior executive with demonstrated achievements in social infrastructure project delivery and/or service delivery, in public, community or private sector contexts. You instil high performance in rapidly changing environments, and are known for your exceptional stakeholder, governance, commercial and operational management skills. You have proven abilities to cut through and build consensus, and you adeptly navigate competing interests to deliver. Reflecting your people focus, you relish building high performing teams and a strong organisational culture. Highly credible with community, industry and government, you see a senior executive leadership role in Victoria’s key housing services agency as highly aligned with the legacy you seek to create.
