**Position Information**:
Berridale Public School is a small rural school located in the picturesque Snowy Mountains, situated between Cooma and Jindabyne, on the traditional lands of the Ngarigo people. With a current enrolment of 60 students, the school provides a nurturing learning environment across three multi-age classrooms, catering to students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

- Highly visible leader with strong interpersonal skills who builds a shared vision and inspires school improvement through fostering a culture of high expectations, cohesion, collaboration, and accountability.
- Demonstrated experience as an instructional leader who inspires staff to build a culture of expertise in classroom practice with a clear focus on explicit teaching, literacy and numeracy.
- Demonstrated capacity to lead meaningful, evidence-based wellbeing programs for staff and students that support inclusive practices and promote positive school culture.
- An effective communicator with a proven ability to build and sustain strong partnerships with parents/carers, community members, external stakeholders and key groups, including the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, to foster and sustain positive school culture for all stakeholders.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education
2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs
3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community
4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning
6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
