The company is enjoying ongoing growth and a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced HSE Officer to join the team.

**This position will**:

- Manage and coordinate HSE programs at the project on a daily basis.
- Ensure that workplaces conform with organisational and client procedures and safety standards
- Coordinate, supervise and monitor the project to ensure that HSE key performance indicators are met
- Report situations at the workplace that could constitute a hazard to any person, environment, or equipment
- Complete and manage all relevant paperwork
- Manage and motivate a dedicated workforce to maximise operational objectives to include HSE programs
- Conduct job observations and safety interactions to improve safety outcomes
- Interpret legislation, standards and technical specifications relating to HSE
- Manage and drive safety, quality and environmental initiatives within the workplace
- Record, process, and store HSE data for ongoing evaluation and identification of solutions to improve effectiveness
- Develop and maintain procedures, work instructions and other safety practices and programs to assist in growth and exceeding standards.
- Staff site inductions

**To be successful you will have**:

- Degree/Diploma/Certificate in HR and/or occupational health and safety
- Expertise in communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear documentation and reports
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including MS Word, Excel and MS Project
