THE ROLE
The Adviser located within the Agency Performance team in the Agency Performance and System Support Unit, North East Melbourne Area, in the North Division has the primary relationship with a varied portfolio of funded organisations. This role supports organisations to maintain quality and performance and supports and undertakes a range of functions including managing service agreements, monitoring organisation targets and performance and the provision of advice to local community service, health and human services organisations. In collaboration with other staff you will have responsibility for implementation of key departmental policy and reform agendas
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

- Assist in the management of service agreements and targets for funded activities, inform budget variations and develop and update service agreements on the department's service management system.
- Utilise effective consultation mechanisms to identify, monitor and mitigate potential risks with CSOs, health and human services agencies to identify and implement service improvement initiatives.
- Participate in the response to client issues such as complaints and incident reports.
- Support the local implementation of innovative service delivery models and new program and policy directions, initiatives and projects.
- Support the negotiation and management of service agreements, projects and relationships to achieve departmental program and related outcomes.
- Facilitate the involvement of CSOs, health and human services agencies in community-based and place-based initiatives.
- Input into draft responses for a variety of correspondence and briefings, ensuring relevant information and policies are accurately reflected.
- Take responsibility for allocated portfolios or support activities, and/or special projects and service development initiatives.
- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services
