PRINCIPAL ADVISOR, SAFETY, WELLBEING AND INJURY MANAGEMENT (SWIM),

Key rtesponsibilities of this role
- Lead the development, coordination and implementation of safety, wellbeing and injury management (SWIM) strategies that result in improvements in business outcomes.
- Lead, coach and mentor the Senior Advisor SWIM for effective delivery of SWIM functions and initiatives.
- Provide authoritative consultancy services to senior management and staff on a broad range of contemporary safety, wellbeing and injury management strategies.
- Develop training, education and awareness strategies to build and sustain management and staff awareness and capability, to undertake their day-to-day activities in a psychologically and physically safe and healthy environment.
- Develop, implement and oversee strategies to record, monitor and review safety, wellbeing and injury management performance and prepare detailed reports for management and relevant governance arrangements.
- Evaluate SWIM services and initiatives to ensure services provided are value-adding and achieving the business and organisational objectives.
- Liaise with other government departments, statutory authorities, professional organisations, unions, external service providers, etc. in the management of issues affecting safety, wellbeing and injury management.
- Build professional client relationships to create working partnerships which facilitate quality human resources and safety management practices in the department. Prepare submissions, reports, executive briefs and other correspondence on safety, wellbeing and injury management issues.
