Principal Advisor

The Principal Recruitment Advisor, Youth Detention Project Team, will be focussed on community engagement to assist with recruitment for a range of youth detention centre roles, most importantly for the new youth detention centre infrastructure. This engagement will include partnerships with adult education providers and specific employment support providers.
You will also provide high level advice and coordinate a range of recruitment-related activities to support operations in Queensland youth detention centres. You will also be required to contribute expert knowledge and skills to assist the team to implement strategic recruitment projects in a complex workforce.
**The Principal Advisor's key responsibilities are**:
- Initiate and establish engagement opportunities with community organisations, tertiary institutions, and employment support providers to highlight a range of youth detention centre employment opportunities. Align engagement to support specific recruitment activities and build relationships and partnerships for future recruitment. Represent youth detention operations across a range of arenas including at career and job fairs, and recruitment/industry events to source talent, foster strategic partnerships and build our employer brand. Assist in the development of recruitment campaigns and activities for youth detention specific positions. Provide high level support, assistance and advice for end to end recruitment processes within youth detention. Assist in the recruitment and induction services for a range of positions across current and new Queensland youth detention centres. Support and champion best practice regarding recruitment, on-boarding and induction within youth detention, and provide advice that builds organisational capability and understanding of best practice in this field, within the context of the Department.
