**Your new company**

This Government Agency is working to assist communities in times of disaster while also proofing Australia against future emergencies. Currently, they have a need for high performing EL2 Policy Officers to support the delivery of high priority programs and policies.

**Your new role**

As an EL2 Policy Specialist, you will play a key role in successfully delivering the workload on behalf of the Taskforce. This will include leading all policy aspects for this workload, and will involve significant stakeholder engagement. Your day-to-day duties may involve, but is not limited to;
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the work plan
- Oversight the review of Final Reports
- Lead the scoping, development and costing of options for the capability new policy proposals/business cases for Government consideration
- Convene and participate in working groups and focus groups
- Develop high-level written material, submissions and briefs
- Identify and manage risks and issues, including the escalation of risks and issues where required

The scoping and development of options and costings will involve significant stakeholder engagement, with the role involving convening and participating in working groups and focus groups.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To succeed in this role, you will be a high-performing individual with;
- Demonstrated policy development/regulatory experience, ideally in telecommunications infrastructure or communication resilience matters
- Track record in successfully scoping, developing and costing options for Government consideration within time frames
- Strong ability to draft high-level written material, submissions and briefs regarding complex matters

To be considered for this role you will need to be an Australian Citizen and can obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
