**Your new company**

A well known government department based centrally on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Housing Officer to join their team on a short-term temporary assignment.

**Your new role**

As the Housing Officer, you will be responsible for:

- First point of contact, handling enquiries and providing customer service
- Responding to customers, coordinating correspondence
- Processing interview requests and housing assessments
- Managing tenancy arrangements, allocations and vacancies
- Home visits when required for property inspections
- Monitoring and managing outstanding arrears, rent assessments and refunds
- General administration support to ensure a smooth day to day running of the office

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful you will have:

- Previous experience as a customer service consultant managing complex enquiries
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport and maintain relationships
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
- The ability to work autonomously and in a team environment and demonstrate a positive attitude
