Our client in the public sector is seeking a **People Business Partner** to join their team in Melbourne CBD.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Partner with functional managers to design and implement people strategies.
- Provide guidance on employee relations, including grievances, absenteeism, and competency issues.
- Drive cultural change by implementing action plans based on engagement surveys.
- Collaborate on workforce planning, recruitment, and training programs.
- Ensure compliance with industrial relations, enterprise agreements, and HR policies.
- Promote and utilise HR systems to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

**What You'll Bring**:

- Tertiary qualifications in HR or management (desirable).
- Proven HR generalist experience, ideally in an industrial environment.
- Proven ability to influence, coach, and drive innovative HR initiatives.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Accreditation in Mercer Job Evaluation (highly desirable).
