In a vital role, our client is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to autonomously take ownership of the payroll function. This role will be an exciting opportunity for those looking for their next challenge

**Position Description**
Reporting into the CFO, the role will involve taking taking ownership of payroll, with key tasks involving:

- End to end fortnightly payroll processing for 300+ employees
- Calculation of PAYG, Payroll Tax, Workcover and Superannuation payments
- Interpreting EBA’s and awards
- Processing new starters, terminations and payroll adjustments
- Reconciliation of payroll accounts and reporting as required
- Develop and strive for ongoing process improvement to improve efficiency
- Partner and develop strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders

The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar Payroll Officer role as well as the following attributes:

- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- The ability to hit the ground running
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills
- Effective time management with a forward thinking mindset
- Ability to build relationships with internal staff members
- A go-getter attitude and willingness to learn
