**About the Opportunity**

At Metcash, we’re proudly supporting independent retailers across Australia and we need great people to help us do it. We’re looking for a Demand Forecasting Specialist to play a key role in our Food division, supporting the Supermarkets pillar.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for product-level forecasting across all Distribution Centre (DC) items, ensuring accurate baseline, promotional, and new line forecasts. Your insights will help drive availability, reduce waste, and keep shelves stocked in communities across the country.

**In this Role**
- Manage the baseline forecast through effective exception management processes
- Manage the promotional forecast through review of promotional programs across major customer groups
- Manage new line forecast accuracy through intensive weekly reviews
- Manage forecast queries from the supply and customer teams
- Manage demand transference due to pricing, clearance, long term out of stocks, ranging changes, etc.
- Partner with the Demand Analyst to contribute to seasonal forecast planning
- Partner with the Demand Analyst to ensure consensus forecasts are effectively managed
- Liaise with the Campbells and Convenience team members on forecast queries, and demand forecast uploads
- Partner with the Supply team on forecast queries and major forecast fluctuations that impact supply

**You’re Likely a Match If**
- Excellent Problem solving including 'outside the box' solutions
- Advanced computing skills including Microsoft Excel
- Stakeholder management and relationship building irrespective of geographic locations of stakeholders
- Proven experience working with advanced forecasting platforms such as Blue Yonder, SAP, Relex, or similar systems
- Strong organisation skills with an eye for detail
- Experience is managing multiple stakeholders
- Experience in FMCG
- Experience in, or working with, complex supply chains
