Project Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Project Coordinator to join our dynamic Business Services Centre (BSC) team on a 6-month contract. This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to the success of meaningful projects in a highly collaborative environment.
As a Project Coordinator you will play a pivotal role in ensuring all aspects of a project are well organised and project goals are achieved on time and within scope. From coordinating with internal and service provider teams to manage project scope, schedule and budget to designing and maintaining project performance dashboards to track overall progress, you will help drive and deliver transformative initiatives.
**What You’ll Be Doing**:
- Work with the Project Lead, functional managers and BU stakeholders to track and communicate project progress.
- Coordinate with internal and service provider teams to manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Maintain project documentation, track and report project risks and issues.
- Set-up and run regular project governance meetings.
- Achieve Project goals while adhering to standards and best practices.
- Ensure that all aspects of a project are organized and in conformance with timeline and deliverables requirement.
- Design and maintain project performance dashboards/reports that tracks overall progress and achievement of milestones.
- Report project risks and outcomes to appropriate management channels and escalate issues according to project work plan.
- Serve as a key conduit and point of communication between Downer BSC, Business Units and service provider teams.
**What You’ll Bring**:
- Five or more years of experience in project coordination and reporting.
- Proven success in a corporate setting, working with all levels of management.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work under minimum supervision.
- Ability to flex to meet requirements of a fast-paced project environment.
- The following skills and qualifications are preferred but not essential: _
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in relevant field.
- Previous experience in Clarity project management tool.
- Professional certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional).
- Previous experience working on projects within a shared services operation.
