As the PR Coordinator, you will play a critical role in managing the PR operational execution for David Jones. Reporting into the PR Manager, this would suit someone at the start of their career in Public Relations who is looking to make a real impact to our media commercial marketing activity. You will be an active, dynamic, supportive, and collaborative member of the David Jones Public Relations, Talent, and Community Investment team.

The PR coordinator will be pivotal to protecting the David Jones brand and reputation at all times.You will drive innovation in developing and driving a strategic communications approach that positions David Jones as destination that inspires, with experiences and services, like no other.

Based in Richmond with WFH flexibility, you will support the PR function with your relationship and strong communication skills.

What will the role involve?
- Assist and maintain relationships with talent managers, media and key friends of the brand
- Manage the _Merchandise On Loan_ process to ensure David Jones supports key editorial opportunities whilst ensuring correct process is followed at all times.
- Assist and collaborate with the broader marketing team regarding talent activity
- Administrative tasks including raising invoices, updating the PR & Community Investment calendar, Amex Accrual and maintaining the marketing budget tracker
- Assist and manage internal & external relationships for PR related enquiries (Agency & Instore team liaison)
- Support with all relevant publicity collateral i.e. Media materials, briefing documents, Campaign strategies
- Assist and manage all gifting related enquiries for Friends of David Jones. Work collaboratively with the wider marking team to ensure gifting opportunities from each category can be included ahead of seasons launch and promotional activity
- Support with planning and overseeing the successful execution of PR & Event campaigns and initiatives in external channels
- Responsible for building great relationships with external partners including media, centres etc. ensuring David Jones brand plans and guidelines are adhered to
- Ensuring campaign plans, sample deadlines, and talent schedules deadlines are adhered to
- Coordinating local area media requests as well as taking responsibility for uploading relevant assets and content onto David Jones Marketing Shared drive
- Support with reactive product loan requests and maintain media/stylist database, coordinate new requests / loans to secure PR placement
- Support product placement and seeding strategy for every range month including influencer send-outs
- Support with media liaison for key campaigns/ events (I.e. Black Friday, Mother’s Day, Season Launch)

What are we looking for?
- Proven experience in house or agency at PR Coordinator level
- Qualification in Marketing, Communications, or similar preferred
- Interest in styling and talent management
- Experience with campaign execution and budget management
- A proven ability to build, manage and maintain and strengthen stakeholder relationships
- Have the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative, fast-paced retail environment
