The role
Reporting to the Executive Director, Statistical Services Branch you will:

- Manage and provide secretarial and business support to the Office of the Executive Director and support the financial, human resource and asset management activities of the Statistical Services Branch.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for examining incoming correspondence, papers, and reports to determine action and priorities and where appropriate, prepare draft replies for consideration. You will also be responsible for undertaking financial human resource and asset management activities, including reporting, to assist in the decision-making needs of the branch.

The successful person

**You will**:

- Manage the Office of the Executive Director by providing confidential executive and secretarial support
- Examine incoming correspondence, papers and reports to determine action and priorities and where appropriate prepare draft replies for consideration.
- Undertake financial, human resource and asset management activities, including reporting, to assist the decision-making needs of the Branch.
- Maintain an effective records and correspondence management system and manage computerised databases to implement efficient mail and document tracking.
- Liaise, consult and maintain effective relationships with team members, and internal and external clients and stakeholders.
- Actively participate in a high performing team by contributing to the quality improvement of operating procedures and checking of outputs.

To be successful in the role, you will demonstrate a high standard of administrative support skills and experience, including knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the information systems relevant to the business and the ability to work autonomously and utilize discretion in the absence of decision makers, to meet deadlines and establish work priorities.

In addition to this, you will have a high level written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively with officers at all levels with integrity, tact, ethical conduct, and confidentiality.
