**Water Resource Management with the Department of Local Government, Water and Volunteers leads the sustainable management of our precious water resources across Queensland. As the Executive Support Officer, you will support the Deputy Director-General in his duties to lead a team of over 500 dedicated professionals across Brisbane and regional offices to deliver strategic oversight of our urban water security, best practice regulation, trusted monitoring and data, evidence-based water planning and natural resource management that supports communities and the environment to thrive.

Key Accountabilities:

- Coordinate executive travel and accommodation requirements including high level executive meetings and conferences.
- Support the Executive in a range of tasks, including providing dedicated project support on high priority emergent business such as meeting WRM reporting responsibilities and assisting with Right to Information requests.
- Coordinate high level corporate documents and processes including Cabinet, Parliamentary and Estimates processes.
- Provide secretariat support to a range of stakeholder and governance committees.
- Manage and provide day-to-day oversight and assistance to the Executive Assistants within WRM as needed.
- Liaise with Corporate Division teams including the Chief HR Officer and Chief Financial Officer on key human resource and finance issues.
- Research and prepare reports, submissions, briefing notes and other correspondence to support the DDG and WRM business group.
- Demonstrate innovation and enthusiasm in developing and reviewing administrative systems and procedures in WRM.

About You:

- Excellent communication skills to liaise with the group's management team, department officers, CLLO office and executive government staff to facilitate quality outcomes.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills to establish and maintain positive working relationships with agency and external stakeholders.
- Well organised, proactive with high levels of attention to detail.
