The Early Childhood Division sets the foundations for quality early learning experiences by providing strategic leadership in early learning and child development and by developing and implementing policy, risk-based regulation, continuous quality improvement and investment.
Your Role
As Project Officer (Policy Design) you will be responsible for supporting Queensland's participation in national committees and the delivery of programs which assist in the creation and maintenance of a high-quality early childhood education and care workforce.
You will also assist the broader team on a range of other policy and program initiatives.
Located in Brisbane City as part of the Strategy and Performance team, the Project Officer reports to the Manager, Policy Design, Early Childhood and State Schools Division.
**Responsibilities include**:
Prepare and draft correspondence, briefings and reports on policy and program related matters to support the efficient and effective delivery of team objectives.
Contribute to the development, implementation and delivery of policy initiatives, and provide evidence-based advice on operational planning and program performance.
Consult and liaise with stakeholders for input into briefing papers and emerging issues.
About You
Strong written communication skills;
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and great with prioritising competing deliverables; and
An understanding of government processes, policies, procedures and systems, such as Content Manager.
