**The Role**
We are looking for dynamic and motivated person to join our team in Logistics Officer Role within Joint Logistics Unit East located at Moorebank. You will contribute to the delivery of superior customer service to support Defence logistics.

The Logistics Officer will be responsible for a range of logistics functions including but not limited to, inventory management, logistics assurance, governance, procurement & local systems support. Your work environment will be a mixture of office and warehouse based.

Within the Logistics Officer function, an APS 4 Logistics Officer, once trained, will be accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve moderately complex logistics inventory management work within an integrated workforce. They will be accountable to have a good understanding of and compliance to relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements.

An APS 4 Logistics Officer will be accountable for organising their workflow, making decisions within their defined parameters relating to area of responsibility and will seek guidance when required. They will provide administrative support that is informed and directed by their knowledge of the Logistics support function. They may undertake some research and analysis activities.

The APS 4 Logistics Officer will be required to share information, monitor work practices, set work priorities and develop local procedures. They may be required to communicate with, respond and provide advice to a range of stakeholders on moderately complex operational and administrative issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.

**About our Team**
Logistics Services Branch is focused on planning, assuring and governing the delivery of warehousing and distribution services for JLU(E) Moorebank. The Branch is an integrated team of Commonwealth employees and Industry Partners that act as the conduit between item managers, capability managers, regional customers and the broader network for warehousing and distribution in Defence. Logistics Services Branch offers a range of services including disposals, requests for storage, procurement, returns, as well as inventory control and support for all items held within our warehouses and demanded by customers.
