**The Role**
We are looking for dynamic and motivated person to join our team in a Logistics Assurance Officer role within Joint Logistics Unit East (JLU (E)) located at Moorebank. The APS 4 Logistics Assurance Officer is responsible for a wide range of functions including but not limited to, contribute to sustaining the unit’s cyclic stocktake programs, conducting monthly spot checks and progressive stocktaking for Commonwealth managed inventories. They will also be responsible in conducting assurance checks on the warehouse processes such as put aways and issues to ensure a high level of reliance in inventory accuracy for JLU (E) Moorebank while primarily office based, some work will involve interaction within our warehouse environment.

You will be accountable for sharing information, monitor work practices, set work priorities and develop local procedures. They may supervise and provide leadership to a team, providing coaching and on-the-job training for newer and less experienced team members. You may be required to communicate with, respond and provide advice to a range of stakeholders on moderately complex operational and administrative issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development. They will be required to work within a small team of Commonwealth staff and including possibly Military members.

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have a keen eye for detail
- Perform data entry of spreadsheets and checklists for logistics activities.
- Have experience in stocktaking, auditing and compliance activities
- Be capable of working with a wide variety of customers and stakeholders, build and sustain effective relationships
- Manage the priorities and needs of the customers to meet and exceed their expectations
- Be able to work in a fluid environment by remaining flexible, agile and adaptable
- Work collaboratively and operate as an effective team member.
- Have a good level of computer literacy including with inventory management systems
- Be committed to ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
- Be able to interpret and comply with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.
