**About the Role**:
We have an exciting Fixed Term 6-month opportunity for a passionate and organised Flood Strategy Project Officer to support the implementation of the Flood Management Strategy - Port Phillip and Westernport 2021-2031.
As the Flood Strategy Project Officer, you will coordinate governance groups, and deliver projects, to effectively implement the Strategy.
You’ll work collaboratively with a range of partners to bring the Strategy to life and build strong partnerships to help Melbourne communities, businesses and governments become more aware, responsive, and resilient to flood risk.
- Lead the Flood Management Strategy mid-term review and support flood-related projects that deliver real impact.
- Coordinate strategy governance and drive delivery across 49+ partners.
- Provide coordination to enable effective co-delivery and governance oversight of the Strategy’s delivery.
- Build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships and drive flood strategy outcomes through engagement with partners such as the Department of Environment, Land, Water & Planning (DELWP), Councils, Emergency Service organisations (VICSES, EMV).
- Research and analysis of flooding in other cities nationally and globally to understand flood challenges including extreme storM/Flood events.

**About you**:
- Solid understanding of flood management challenges and techniques is preferred.
- Extensive organisational and project management skills, including project design, delivery, evaluation, budget management and reporting.
- Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement to support cross organization collaboration.
- Experience in supporting effective governance structures.
- Experience in management and delivery of a Monitoring Evaluation Reporting Improvement plan is preferred.
- Experience in delivering outcomes in an environment with complex issues, programs, and stakeholders.
