Flood Recovery Assessors

These positions involve the assessment of buildings on behalf of the Victorian State Governments’ emergency response to flood effected areas across Melbourne and Regional Victoria.

These positions will be offered as full time casual with an estimated projected length of 6-12 months. Working hours are Monday - Friday, with weekend work required based on project schedules.

Duties in the role include but are not limited to:

- Completing field-based assessments (using a tablet)
- Identification of hazards and risks of flood affected premises
- Identify building risks such as asbestos, mould and other hazardous materials
- Liaising with trades, contractors, property owners and various stakeholders.

About you

These roles are open to individuals from a wide variety of working backgrounds. If you have experience/education in environmental services, HSE, general or civil construction, compliance, property management or any inspection / audit services than you may be right for this role.

In addition, the following skills and attributes are required:

- The ability to work in different locations based on work requirements
- Strong tech skills (using tablets) with the ability to follow procedures
- Be punctual, reliable and committed to completing tasks
- Display strong written and verbal communication skills

**Salary**: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
