Flying Bark Productions is looking for a Production Coordinator to work in our Sydney studio.

The Production Coordinator will coordinate with the Producer and production team in the efficient running and delivery of the project to meet creative and production schedules. With a particular focus on managing specific department teams, the role has a key responsibility to ensure deadlines for these departments are met and to raise any concerns for production delays and to ensure all communication and job requirements are kept for as long as the Production Company requires.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate the daily operations of the department teams, serving as the central point of contact between the respective department heads, Production, artists, and supervisors.
- Prioritise department and crew tasks in alignment with schedule requirements, regularly checking in with artists, leads, and supervisors to ensure timely delivery of departmental outputs according to project schedules.
- Ensure the partner studio is informed about deadlines and equipped with all necessary information and materials to meet project timelines.
- Ensure the department meets deadlines so other department schedules can be met.
- Coordinate and facilitate internal and external department meetings, rounds, and reviews, ensuring a smooth approvals process. Follow up internally and with other departments to ensure seamless communication.
- Track shot approvals and coordinate the delivery of shots to and from editorial. Monitor deliveries to and from other departments, both internal and external, as required.
- Maintain effective internal and external communications, ensuring all production crews are informed of all relevant updates.
- Provide weekly reports on department status and progress to the Production Manager and Production Supervisor
- Attend necessary department meetings, take and distribute notes, and enter and maintain notes in the database.
- Update and maintain Shotgrid, ensuring accurate and up-to-date project information.
- Notify the Production Manager and Line Producer of any team issues, delays, or overages, and actively contribute to issue resolution.
- Provide support to the artistic crew and the production management team.
- Demonstrate conflict resolution skills, offering well-reasoned solutions within a dynamic and creative environment.
- Liaise with the Production crew to schedule Department Supervisors, VFX Supervisor & CG Supervisors time for review.
- Assist in team morale activities, fostering a positive attitude, being cognizant of pressures artists can feel and ensuring that undue stress is alleviated, and real issues are flagged to management.
- Assist in developing reporting, tracking templates and Shotgrid pages.
- Assist in keeping information relating to the Program/s confidential and secure by notifying the Producer if made aware of a breach in the Employee Security Code of Conduct.
- Assist other Production Departments with their duties whenever necessary.
- Ensure all work remains confidential per code of conduct and security forms.

**Skillset**:

- Ability to consistently look ahead at the department’s workload and assess its ability to deliver, flagging potential issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and willingness to share information in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Experience with the use of production tracking software.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility and ability to be responsive to change.
- The ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
- Patient and empathetic nature while dealing with artistic personalities.
- Ability to deal with and resolve conflict with a capacity for suggesting well-reasoned solutions within an atmosphere of passionate and creative egos.
- Solid understanding and experience of animation in a production-based environment.
- A bachelor’s degree is a bonus.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $70,000.00 - $76,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Alexandria NSW 2015
